Flapperons are done

With this the major construction of the plane is done.  I should get the finish kit in the next 2 weeks.  Then I begin the detailed portion of the build

Finishing Two of the Harder Jobs

I finished two of the harder jobs today.  I got the Flapperon brackets built and I got all the stainless steel match drilled and de-burred.

Building some Brackets

I started working on the flap brackets today.  I made four good brackets and sent two to the scrap pile

Everything was going fine until I drilled 3/8 instead of 3/16

These all came out fine though

I Finished the Left Wing Today

Worked on the Wing again today

Worked on the Wing again today.  I got all the rivets i the skin and most of the Wing Tip complete.

A New Hanger

After several months of waiting I finally have a hanger at KOXR.  I am on the waiting list for the airport of my choice, KCMA, but 169 people are ahead of me.  KOXR should do for the next 5 years or so.

While I was on the way to my hanger I stopped by the Harbor Freight factory for the parking lot sale.  I picked up a little hanger warming gift.  A 2HP compressor for $35. 

More Wing Work

Finished off the landing light.  I put the top panels on and have a little more riveting to do to finish covering the wing

Finished Skinning the bottom of the Right Wing

I finished skinning the bottom of the right wing.  I flipped it over and cut the hole for the landing light
